Optimisation strategies for correcting wasted cloud spend centre on shaping storage to the work required and “right-sizing” it to fit, as well as addressing storage volumes that are not in active use.
Moreover, disaster recovery scenarios and data backup practices can be implemented to overcome challenges resulting from loss of access to the cloud. According to the report, this level of preparedness is paramount to dealing with any challenges, be it a regional outage or a loss of connection to the cloud itself.
